New Patient Behavior Consultation

New patient consultations are 1-hour in-home appointments with Dr. Thompson. Conducting the consultation in your home allows for a more accurate assessment of your pet’s behavior in their natural environment.

To initiate a new consultation, please complete the Refer a Patient form. Once submitted, Dr. Thompson will reach out directly to the client to coordinate scheduling. An invoice will be issued at that time. Full payment is required to confirm your appointment. Please note that this fee is non-refundable, as much of the assessment and preparation occurs in advance of the visit.

Once your appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive a detailed behavioral health questionnaire to complete at least one week prior to the consultation.

It’s ideal for medical records—including your pet’s most recent physical exam and wellness lab work—to be submitted in advance by either the client or their primary care veterinarian. If needed, Dr. Thompson is happy to contact the clinic directly to obtain records.
