Kate Thompson, DVM

Dr. Kate Thompson is a small animal veterinarian with a demonstrated commitment to veterinary behavioral health. She partners with primary care veterinarians in the Raleigh-Durham area to provide behavior assessments for dogs and cats. 

 

She graduated with honors from NC State's College of Veterinary Medicine and received the Excellence in Veterinary Behavior Award. She studied under the mentorship of their behavior specialists and continues to work closely with their team to assist with referred behavioral patients.

 

Dr. Thompson is Fear-Free Certified in low-stress patient handling. She prides herself in her ability to make even the most anxious patients feel more comfortable through desensitization training, calming agents, and gentle touch.
